academic research
At Carnegie Mellon University I teach an Interdisciplinary Project Course as part of the Entertainment Technology Center Masters Program. The course challenges a diverse team of students to produce working prototypes typically following a client brief or prescribed research track.
The research I instigate and promote in my role as Assistant Teaching Professor are grounded in two key areas:
Leveraging the three decades I spent innovating for human performance, bridging the physical and digital worlds to create experiences using state-of-the-art technology. This includes embedded experiences in electric mobility.
In line with CMUs Sustainability Initiative, translating the abstract ambitions of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into tangible design solutions that address pressing global challenges.
